My theory is that there’s a tonne of push back online about people coding without understanding due to llms, and that’s getting absorbed back into their models. So these lines of response are starting to percolate back out the llms which is interesting.
Yea it’s way too optimistic to presume these companies will not lash out in their death throes. They’d destroy as much as possible on their way out.
R and tidyverse is really amazing, the syntax is so natural I rarely need to check the docs on anything to quickly do basic data transformation/plotting. Definitely more intuitive than pandas (and I learnt that first).
RSS is in no way simple to regular normies.
Man I love factorio’s art, had no idea people thought it was bad. Maybe at release. But there’s alot of attention to detail in the sprites, even the trees sway gently in the breeze. You don’t see that often in other games of a similar style.
Yea, talk about overcomplicating a simple task.
Yea, do it to fill your resume with some good points but once you’re not learning anything new it’s time to leave.
Nah your boss is just getting you to work beyond what you’re paid to do.
I use antenna pod which is able to download as well, which seems to suggest that at some point the ads get fixed. Also they’re very consistent for me, enough that I can usually cut off the first 30 seconds of ads for certain podcasts (there’s a function to skip predefined sections).
Probably too small of an audience but I’m amazed that someone hasn’t released a podcast app that has sponsorblock. Podcast ads are so predictable I’d imagine an ML model would have no issue detecting them.
Mate it’s a trivial problem
Why I do respond sometimes out of my own convenience I’m careful to schedule the message for work hours so it’s clear to people when they can expect a response.
Because a huge part about learning is actually figuring out how to extract/summarise information from imperfect sources to solve related problems.
If you use CHATGPT as a crutch because you’re too lazy to read between the lines and infer meaning from text, then you’re not exercising that particular skill.
Idk about you but I have a newish chromecast with google tv and it’s laggy af. So it’ll be good to have something with better specs.
Unless you short. Then you can be -200k!
Let’s burn down the Amazon to do it.
Why not just use markdown?
But… bash snippet extensions already exist. The only difference is maybe it doesn’t auto name your variables for you. I’d take that over non-deterministic LLM outputs.
